Libreville, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 (Gabon Info) – The Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area, Wamkele Mene, came to talk to Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba yesterday about the progress of the institution he leads.
Received yesterday at the seaside palace in Libreville by the Gabonese President, Ali Bongo Ondimba, the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF) came to take stock of the situation of this organization. Wamkele Mene also took the opportunity to recall the objectives of the ZLECAF which relate to the stimulation of intra-African trade, the progressive elimination of customs tariffs and non-tariff barriers, the improvement of cooperation in the field of obstacles techniques for trade and sanitary and phytosanitary measures, the development of value chains at the regional and continental level, as well as on the strengthening of the characteristics of the development and industrialization of Africa.
