Tonight’s clash is the 229th derby between the teams and the latest was won by Inter with a full 3-0. Milan, who with a victory can go up in the sole league lead, is undefeated in the league so far and starts the match with Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the start.
After just ten minutes of play, Inter were penalized after former Milan player Hakan Calhanoglu was sent off by Franck Kessie. The same Calhanoglu then took care of the eleven-meter kick himself and was cool when he gave his team the lead.
But Milan came up with a quick answer.
The red and blacks got a free kick in the offensive half that Sandro Tonali’s sensitive right foot took care of. The Italian sent a tricky ball into the penalty area which Interback Stefan de Vrij nodded into his own goal.
It took no more than a few minutes before Milan’s next blow.
Lautaro Martinez spun up Fodé Ballo-Touré who fell behind. The latter felled the attacker and received a penalty against him – but this time it did not go in goal. The Argentine stepped forward who fixed the penalty himself when Ciprian Tatarusanu went in the right direction and saved.
