Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, is back on a football field.
And the Swede opens up that he is back to stay for a while.
– If it continues like this, I intend to play for a few more years, not just one, says Ibrahimovic to the Italian media.
After nine months injury absence did Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, made a comeback on Sunday evening with just over a quarter of an hour in AC Milan’s 2-0 win against Atalanta.
And now the Swede, according to his own statement, is back in earnest. Even if the road there has been tough and complicated.
– The truth is that until three weeks ago the feeling was not good, then something happened and I made more progress in three weeks than I had in the last eight months. I knew it would take time and patience, says the Swede to Italia 1 (according to Tuttomercatoweb) after the game.
“Be a little nervous”
Zlatan was also asked if he has plans to break new records in the future, including in the Champions League, having just broken the record as the oldest player in Milan’s history. And it seems he has.
– If it continues like this, I intend to play for a few more years, not just one, says Ibrahimovic, whose current contract with the “Rossoneri” extends to the end of the season.
Here and now, however, the primary thing is that he is, to begin with, back on the football field.
– For a year and two months I haven’t been able to play football as I wanted because I wasn’t feeling well. I have suffered a lot, both because of what happened with Mino Raiola (his agent who died) and because of my physical status. It hasn’t been easy, but being on the field now feels very good. I was a little nervous, but I had good confidence.
Andersson: “Fun to see Zlatan back”
Swedish national team captain Janne Andersson was also happy to see the Swedish attacking star back on a football field.
“It’s fun to see Zlatan back on the field and playing a match again after a long rehabilitation period”, says Andersson in a text message to Sportbladet:
