Zlata Ognevich admitted why she hid that she was the performer of the hit Pray For Ukraine – video – Glamor – tsn.ua

Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich hid for a long time that she was the performer of the hit Pray For Ukraine, released in 2014.

Zlata Ognevich and her team in 2014 actively supported the Revolution of Dignity.

Then, during the events on the Maidan, the singer released the song “Pray For Ukraine”. Then the track scattered all over the world, but the name of the performer did not appear anywhere – it was noted that the song was performed by an Unknown Artist.

In an interview with Muzvar, Ognevich explained that at that time she wanted to draw more attention to the situation in the country.

“I wanted to draw attention not to my name, but to the events in Ukraine. And that is why we released a song in English so that as many people in the world as possible hear about our country through music. Almost a year has passed since we decided to publish, who sings this song. It was created by Mikhail Nekrasov, the text was written by Victoria Nekrasova. It was a very creative work, very sharp. In the studio, when I recorded the song, as I remember now, it was to tears, to goosebumps, “- the singer confessed.

By the way, Ognevich created her hits for many years together with producer Mikhail Nekrasov. However, the last songs of the singer are not released under his production. In addition, there was no official statement about the termination of cooperation between Nekrasov and Ognevich.

Zlata commented as follows:

“I think that when the time comes, there will be inspiration and such synergy will arise, then we will definitely create something with Misha, he is an incredibly talented person, he wrote many songs for me, these are “KUKUSHKA”, and “Gravity”, and ” One day” is one of my favorites. We communicate with him and maintain friendly relations.”
