Libreville, Tuesday October 3, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The wife of the President of the Transition in Gabon is leading this year’s campaign to raise awareness and fight against female cancers.
The supervision of the “Pink October” campaign for the year 2023 has a new face. Zita Oligui Nguema, the wife of the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, is responsible for leading this awareness campaign against female cancers in Gabon. The first lady intends to assume this responsibility with determination. “Raising awareness about the prevention of uterine, breast and prostate cancer is a crucial mission. I am fully committed to continuing the laudable work started by my predecessor and I am determined to provide my unconditional support,” she said.
The 10e edition of this initiative is placed under the theme: “Against cancer, I am committed to a healthy life” and must be deployed in 54 screening units across 10 national health localities. Notably, at the Owendo Community Center, Owendo University Hospital (CHUO), Glass Health Center, among others.
