The big man from the New Orleans Pelicans, Zion Williamson, may not have been part of the Slam Dunk Contest of the NBA last weekend, but that does not mean that the forward cannot participate.
Playing in the team’s first game of the second half of the season, Zion put off Minnesota’s Jake Layman with a dunk that the Timberwolves defender probably won’t soon forget. Nothing better than NBA I have returned to see Williamson smash the hoop.

With the Pelicans Holding the ball with just over nine minutes remaining in the first quarter, Brandon Ingram tried to drive to the basket before Minnesota set him up near the basket. Ingram, unable to get past the pair of defenders, threw an emergency pass to a waiting Zion in the corner, who had previously left the paint to allow his teammate to penetrate.
Catching the ball in an inward sprint, Zion Williamson Not only did he jump over the cylinder, but he outscored Layman with a forearm to the neck, throwing the defender aside and hitting the basket. Sorry T-Wolves fans, but it’s only a foul if you get called.
