Zinedine Zidane is a successful football legend, as a player or as a coach. Unfortunately, there is one dream that has yet to be realized.
Zinedine Zidane won many titles as a player. He started his career at French League club Bouerdeaux, then to Juventus and to Real Madrid in the period 1992 to 2006.
Zidane won 11 titles including the Scudetto, La Liga champions, to the Champions League. Once the Ballon d’Or and three times the FIFA best player award won.
At the level of the French national team, Zizou won the World Cup and European Cup titles.
While continuing his career as a coach, Zinedine Zidane successfully brought Real Madrid to victory. He presented 11 trophies, including three times the Champions League winner.
Zidane also successfully won the world’s best coach award. Now, Zidane is still unemployed after parting ways with Real Madrid last summer.

In an interview with French media, La Provence, Zinedine Zidane admitted that he is now enjoying a relaxing period. Zidane spent time with his family, which was difficult to do when he was still playing or when he was a tactician.
Zidane was invited to talk about the past. One question was asked, is there Zidane’s dream that has not been fulfilled?
“Playing for Marseille,” Zidane replied.
“I was born in Marseille. Even though I left the city at a very young age, I still come from Marseille,” he continued.
Zinedine Zidane admits, he regrets that he has never played for Marseille, one of the top clubs from France. Zidane did face Marseille when he strengthened Bouerdeaux, but he still felt that Marseille was a special club.
“When I was young, at 15-17 years old, I was in the stands watching a (Marseille) game and I said to myself, one day I will play here. But it didn’t happen,” he said.
“I’ve faced Marseille. It feels special,” he added
Marseille currently moving forward with coach Jorge Sampaoli. But it is clear from Zidane’s words that he has great respect for the club, it could be that one day Zizou will coach him.
