One person was seriously injured on Saturday in a hotel fire in Zinal (VS). This employee of the establishment, who lived in the currently closed building, was helicoptered to the CHUV in Lausanne.
The alert was given at around 3:50 p.m. by a cantonal police patrol which was working on its missions to fight the coronavirus epidemic, the cantonal police said in a statement. Immediately, major resources were committed on the spot.
The incident was under control at 8.45 p.m. A fire watch was put in place for the night. The public prosecutor opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the fire.
