Businessman Thomas Zilliacus, 67, is wanted in Singapore.
This forces the Finnish-Swedish billionaire to withdraw from the purchase of the football club Inter.
The 67-year-old will instead focus on clearing his name.
Serie A giant Inter is currently owned by Chinese Suning Holdings Group, but it has been reported for some time that owner Steven Zhang was willing to sell the club.
This is where the Finnish-Swedish billionaire Thomas Zilliacus, who was Nokia’s Asia manager for almost ten years before he then started several of his own companies in the same industry, comes into the picture. He has long been pointed out as a potential buyer and was quite far along in the process.

But it won’t be like that.
Zilliacu’s lawyers announced on Thursday that the 67-year-old’s investment company withdrew from the deal.
Focus on clearing your name
The reason is the arrest warrant issued against him in Singapore last week.
The order relates to allegations that the businessman allegedly published misleading statements in financial reports during his time as CEO of the listed Singapore-based e-commerce company YuuZoo in 2016.
Zilliacus denies the allegations and will now focus on clearing his name.
“The case against YuuZoo is based on lies by a former YuuZoo employee who was previously convicted of fraud and has a personal vendetta against Zilliacus and other former YuuZoo executives. Zilliacus has cooperated fully with the Singapore Police since the investigations began in 2018,” reads the the press release from his lawyers.
Zilliacus describes the arrest warrant as incomprehensible.
