The young Spartans in Žilina overcame a one-goal deficit twice and gained a 3:2 lead after two close goals in the 70th and 71st minutes. The opponent soon equalized, but in the next minute, Rus put Prague in the lead again. In the 84th minute, visiting goalkeeper Heerkens received a red card for a tackle in front of the goal, and the home team equalized in the third minute.
In the decisive shootout, Žilina players converted all four penalties, while two Spartans failed.
Letenský did not reach the premier promotion to the spring part of the Youth League. The Czech maximum in the competition is still held by Příbram, which reached the round of 16 in the 2015/16 season.
