The governor of the US state of Florida, Rick Scott, has announced that four other people are suspected of Zika in the Wynwood area of Miami. The total number of Zika cases in South Florida is 21. Rick Scott has asked Congress to approve additional funds needed to fight the virus, notes the BBC, reported by Rador Radio Romania.
At the same time, France Presse announces the death of a child, from the state of Texas, infected with the Zika virus from his mother who had gone to Latin America. The baby was born with a severe brain malformation caused by the pathogen.
