Ziggo launches TV app | Financial

By extending support to Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and the Nvidia Shield, users are no longer dependent on the cable box’s media box. This will be particularly beneficial for households with more than one television. They previously had to purchase an extra box.

The GO app not only includes the ability to watch live television, but also provides access to Replay TV, the TV guide and Movies & Series (XL). The latter package includes HBO series such as Game of thrones, The Sopranos in Band of brothers.

Unlike the app for portable devices, the new variants only work via a fixed Ziggo internet connection. It is therefore not possible to plug in a device on which the software is installed to someone else without a Ziggo subscription.
