Ziggo improves Mediabox Next via software update

Ziggo offers a software update for the Mediabox Next that will be implemented automatically in the coming days. In this software update a number of existing issues are resolved and new functionalities are added.

A number of so-called bug fixes have been implemented in the new software (version 4.26). The following issues have been resolved in this release.

  • When pausing a live broadcast for the second time, the image no longer switches back to live TV;
  • The shadow under the main menu is now in the right place for no connection;
  • The flickering image when navigating between the Save menu and a specific recording has been fixed;
  • The sound is no longer switched off while watching when the audio setting is adjusted from ‘Disabled’ to ‘Follow signal’;
  • The sorting of the list of all (scheduled) recordings is no longer reset after selecting a recording

In addition, a number of new functionalities have been added in this version, such as a high contrast menu. This new option, which can be activated via the Picture and Sound menu, offers a better experience for visually impaired users by increasing the contrast of the menu. It is also possible to change the name of the recipient in this version.
