Zielepietjes Extinction Rebellion daub H&M in protest against ‘greenwashing’ –

The gypsies of Extinction Rebellion are once again angry. This time the H&M on the Rokin had to pay for it, because that was nice around the corner. H&M would be guilty of ‘greenwashing’ and then vandalism of course a justified first reaction!

The jargon of leftist clubs is evolving rapidly. So quickly that I can imagine that ‘greenwashing’ is a completely unknown term to the general public. The bottom line is that H&M mainly says that it produces the products sustainably and ‘green’, but actually does not do that at all. In the same way, many companies are also accused of ‘pinkwashing’: especially pretending to be pro-LGBT, but in practice this is not the case.

The crazy people of Extinction Rebellion are therefore especially angry about the fact that companies are lying to the consumer. These are probably the same people who do have an iPhone and wear clothes that many Uyghur has had to bleed for.

And somehow those Extinction Rebellion figures have quite a point, but what bothers me so much is the utter futility of their actions. They are always so small-scale and so ineffective that they might as well not have done it. Today they daub an H&M and next week they will smear another square under fake blood. The following week they complain again about Palestinians or another victim group and they never seem to be able or willing to change anything. They also see themselves only as a kind of whistleblower who has to create ‘awareness’. They expect others to actually convert it into policy. Then the activists can quickly move on to the next topic to be able to score a new dose of virtue points. It’s soo lazy …
