“Židrūns” will play in the Wagon Hall on the national holiday

A powerful concert will be held in the new Wagon Hall on November 18 – the hysterical post-hardcore group “Židrūns”, as well as the Latvian-French group (or vice versa) “Les Attitudes Spectrales” will perform.

The group “Židrūns” has been playing for ten years peculiar rock music, in which there is a stylistic mixture of post-punk and hardcore, moreover, it is presented in a peculiar, even hysterical vocal manner. The quartet includes Ritvars Bieders (formerly also “In Bed with Fantomas”, “Locators”), Ulvis Urtāns (formerly “Mazie smirdigie kočiņi”, “Locators”), Anrijs Korps (formerly “9 Horizon”) and Klāvs Kalnačs (also plays “Nielslen Lielsliens” and only as Siensliens). Židrūn already has four original music albums on his account (“Židrūnas saap” – 2008, “Židrūns zzeltenbaltzeltenais” – 2010, “Židrūns and what cannot be brought” – 2016, “Židrūns for grandchildren” – 2020), moreover, the latter even received the Golden Microphone of the Year award for Latvian music record in the category of best rock albums.

On the other hand, “Les Attitudes Spectrales” is a very interesting rock band (after all, you don’t often see them live – don’t miss your chance!), playing something between garage rock, punk rock and psychedelic rock .

The group was formed in 2013 as a duo formed by French Gilliens Starks (vocals, guitar) and Latvian Rūta Starks (vocals, bass) living in Latvia. Both recorded the first two albums as a duo, but later Mārtiņš Kuzmins (drums) and Adrians Grīns (guitar) joined the group. The group has three albums, the last of which was also released on vinyl under the auspices of the French record company “Specific Recordings”. Work is currently underway on the fourth studio album, from which the first single “Hidden Mothers”, released on October 31, will also be heard at the concert. The new album is expected in the first half of 2023.
