Shi Shunwei, a member of the Communist Party of China, is a 2019 doctoral student in the Department of Road and Railway of the School of Civil Engineering. He is a student of Professor Gao Liang and has won the National Scholarship, the National Inspirational Scholarship, and the First-Class Excellent Learning Scholarship.
Published 7 SCI/EI papers, including 3 An1 area SCI and 1 An2 area SCI as one author. He served as a reviewer for the well-known journal “Construction and Building Materials”. He applied for 11 national patents and was the second author (the first author of the mentor). ) published one monograph, was awarded the National Key Publication Publishing Special Planning Project during the “14th Five-Year Plan Period”, and received funding from the National Publishing Fund.

This year is Shi Shunwei’s tenth year studying at Jiaotong University, and his sixth year joining the rail engineering innovation team. From the initial confusion to the current determination, he has finally learned something. At the beginning of his master’s degree program in 2016, Shi Shunwei knew nothing about scientific research. He encountered obstacles and was struggling. It was common for him to be stuck on a small problem for ten days and a half. Fortunately, he had the guidance of his mentor and senior fellow students, and he was able to graduate with his master’s degree. I have accumulated a certain amount of experience in scientific research logic and research methods, and at the same time, I have gradually discovered the joy of scientific research.
In 2019, Shi Shunwei chose to study for a Ph.D. and continue to work hard in scientific research. He knew that what he lacked most was the ability to write journal articles, so he wrote a first draft of a paper based on the existing results and submitted it to many teachers. Ask classmates for advice and constantly find out your own problems. During the National Day holiday in 2019, everyone was celebrating the 70th birthday of the motherland. In the laboratory, he consulted with classmates studying in the United States through video, and continued to polish this small paper, presenting a gift to the motherland in a unique way. Finally, he was awarded the title of “Civil Engineering” in Civil Engineering. Published in top journals in the field.
During his doctoral studies, Shi Shunwei actively participated in a number of national, provincial and ministerial level projects as a tutor, and personally presided over one of the highest-level postgraduate innovation projects for the basic scientific research business funds of central universities in our school. Participated in on-site overnight maintenance tests of Beijing Subway Lines 1, 2 and 10 many times, striving to gain practical knowledge and contribute to the safe operation of the Beijing Subway.

During his undergraduate period, he served as the class president of the Mao Yi School of Civil Engineering and led the class to win more than ten city-level and school-level honors such as the Beijing Advanced Class Collective and the Capital Pioneer Cup Youth League Branch.
