Medvedev said that half of the amount must be paid for the transfer to take effect, and all payments must be completed before the end of the 2023/2024 season. He stressed that no bonuses are provided. “This amount is an adequate reflection of Malcolm’s talents,” a spokesman for the club added.
According to Transfermarkt, Malcolm’s transfer will be the most expensive in the history of Russian football. In 2016, Zenit sold the Brazilian Hulk to China’s Shanghai SIPG for 56 million euros.
Malcolm is the top scorer in the Russian Premier League in the 2022/2023 season. In 27 matches of the tournament, the athlete, who received Russian citizenship in February, scored 23 goals and nine assists. He has been playing for Zenit since 2019.
