Zendaya’s “Summer Garden Nails” are THE playful design for late summer
Zendaya is not only celebrating one success after another in her career as an actress, but is also proving herself to be a successful fashion icon. Red carpet looks and street style outfits are always eye-catchers for the 27-year-old, but we are taking a close look at her latest nail design. Zendaya usually keeps a low profile here and relies on timeless and simple manicures. But she is still experimenting in late summer: While she transformed herself into a living bouquet of flowers for the Met Gala 2024, the flowers are now migrating to her nails.

Instead of classic milky nails or French design, Zendaya’s nails shine in yellow, pink and blue. For the latest design, Marina Dobic, Zendaya’s London nail artist, conjured up an entire meadow of flowers on her nails. The base was a nude-colored hard gel, which was complemented with a white micro-French. She painted small, colorful flowers on top and added small insects. Each nail was a little different: some were decorated with a bee, while others had ladybug details to go with the versatile flower design. In contrast to the design, the nail shape remained very natural and was filed into a medium-length, square version.

An unusual shape and design for the actress, but Zendaya seems to have experimented more with her manicure style this summer. At Wimbledon, for example, she wore a bright red and now “Summer Garden Nails”.

Flowers are omnipresent in both fashion and beauty in summer 2024. Delicate nail designs on a nude-colored basis are THE trend in beauty. But flowers are not the only natural detail that makes it onto the nails of the stars. For example, Blake Lively also opted for a floral design for the film premiere of “It Ends With Us” on August 6th, but complemented it with butterflies. Kylie Jenner also looked to nature for inspiration at the beginning of the summer and invited various insects to make a home on her nails. And Hailey Bieber also wore a similar look with her “Farmer’s Markert Nails”, which were decorated with small fruits and vegetables.
