The Angels- American actress and singer Zendaya won her first Golden Globe on Tuesday for her lead role in the second season of the HBO series “Euphoria”.
The 26-year-old artist already has two Emmy Awards in her possession for her role in this series in which she plays Ruby “Rue” Bennett, a high school student with a serious drug addiction.
Zendaya did not attend to receive the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series at the 80th awards ceremony hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
The actress, also known for having been part of the cast of the latest trilogy of “Spider-Man” and “Dune”, has aroused the admiration of audiences and critics with “Euphoria”, a true youth phenomenon which is one of the most platform views.
The Golden Globes returned this Tuesday in its 80th edition with a one-on-one television gala, several confirmed Hollywood stars and the challenge to regain prestige, after years of controversy in which they have been on the verge of disappearance.
Known as the prelude to the Oscars, the awards also recognize the best in television.
