Zdenek Zeman‘s condition is stabilising: the coach will continue his rehabilitation at the Gemelli in Rome
The former Pescara coach will move to Gemini by Roma
Zeman will leave the Pierangeli clinic in Pescara tomorrow 22 October he will be transferred to Gemelli in Romein the neurological rehabilitation department. He will remain there for about a month, as reported by Rai News. The coach, who turned 77 on May 12, was hospitalized last Tuesday for a stroke with right hemiplegia.
This is another episode, the third in less than a yearwhich worries the Bohemian fans. The former Roma coach had in fact already been admitted to a clinic in Pescara towards the end of 2023, even in that case it was a mild transient ischemia.
A few months later, in February 2024, another relapse that forced him away from the bench until the end of the season. After undergoing surgery, the Bohemian resigned as Pescara coach to dedicate himself entirely to his health.
Zeman, one month of rehabilitation
The update on the coach’s health was given by prof. Stefano Guarracinihead of the cardiology department of the Pierangeli clinic in Pescara. “The patient is stable and will return to Rome for rehabilitation tomorrow”so the cardiologist reassured all those worried about the situation Zeman.
The prof. Guarracini knows the Bohemian’s clinical picture well, having already treated him after the ischemia between 2023 and 2024. The coach will now have to face an intense period of rehabilitation and, for this reason, the structure of the Gemelli of Rome would have been preferred.

The experience at Pescara
Before giving up the Abruzzo bench due to his state of health, Zeman’s third return to Pescara had been characterized by a good performance on the field. From the start in March 2023, with 11 points in 6 championship games, until the bitter elimination in the playoff semi-final against Foggia.
An entirely Zemanian derby particularly felt by the coach who, with the Rossoneri, wrote one of the most important pages of his career. At the beginning of the 2023-24 season then, Zeman comes close to perfection after 7 days of the championship: 6 wins and only one draw, with the team finishing that year in 6th place and with Cascione on the bench.
