Zeman signed changes to foreclosures and increased child benefits

The amendment to the law on state social support will increase allowances by 26 percent. Families with incomes up to 3.4 times the subsistence level will be entitled to the benefit instead of the current 2.7 times. The draft also increases the tax advantage for second and subsequent descendants.

The allowances should be drawn by the parents of less than half a million children, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has estimated the cost of the budget at approximately 5.5 billion crowns.

The execution rules have undergone even more fundamental changes. The cessation of long-term unsuccessful executions will be able to begin in 2023. The Senate has enforced that the six-year period after which unsuccessful executions can be stopped will be partially retroactive.

The standard will also limit the confiscation of movable property and the mobile execution of pensioners and the disabled. Execution of childhood debts will also be limited.

The Bailiffs’ Chamber has announced that it intends to challenge the amendment before the Constitutional Court. It bothers her that executors would not be entitled to reimbursement of the costs of unsuccessful executions.
