Zell am Main: Small trucks and cars collide head-on

Serious accident on the state road in Lower Franconia: On Monday morning (January 4th, 2021) there was a serious collision between a small truck and a car between Waldbüttelbrunn and Höchberg in the Würzburg district. As reported by the Würzburg-Land police, a 51-year-old driver came into the opposite lane for an unexplained cause.

There he collided with a pickup truck that was heading towards Waldbüttelbrunn. The driver tried to swerve to the left, but without success. When they collide, the vehicles get caught on the right guardrail. The 51-year-old was trapped in his vehicle and had to be rescued by the fire department.

Serious accident in the Würzburg district: two injured after a collision

He was taken to hospital with very serious injuries. The driver of the truck was slightly injured in the impact.

In addition to the police, an expert was called in to record the accident. Both vehicles had to be towed, the property damage is estimated at around 16,000 euros. The road was completely closed until the accident site was cleared.
