A government spokesman in Berlin confirmed Zelensky’s meeting with Scholz.

“It is expected that, as in France, a bilateral security agreement will be signed,” the statement said.

Security agreements were signed at the NATO summit in Vilnius in July last year. At it, the heads of state and government of the defense alliance agreed that individual member countries would enter into long-term security agreements with Ukraine.
