Zelensky’s peace formula interested the Austrian Foreign Ministry

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg called the peace formula proposed by the Ukrainian government, which consists of 10 points, “interesting”. Vienna also supports ending the war that the Russian Federation is waging against Ukraine, through negotiations, and both sides must agree.

As the Austrian foreign minister noted at a press conference in Vienna on the results of the negotiations with his Indian counterpart, peace is never achieved on the battlefield, but at the negotiating table.

“And this war will not be an exception. But it is necessary for both sides to agree to negotiations. And there is a clear rule here: no negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine,” Shallenberg stressed.

The Austrian minister added that it was necessary “to restore a situation in which peace and diplomacy can find their place”, while admitting that he still does not see it, since “both sides are trying to score decisive points on the battlefield”.

He also drew attention to the fact that the war takes place “on European soil, but it is not European at all”, since its consequences are global in nature and millions of people around the world are suffering from rising prices, crises food and energy.

As previously reported, this was stated by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak Ukraine is ready to end the war with the Russian Federation at any moment, but only under the conditions stipulated in the peace formulaproposed by the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky.

Before that, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said the government intends to hold a peace summit at the UN by the end of February 2023. In it, Ukraine intends to present its peace plan, which is now actively being implemented.
