/ world today news/ “The Supreme Commander has good political advisers”
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is trying to push through the Rada a law that limits the military’s ability to participate in the country’s political life. This was stated by the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.
He claims that the draft law submitted to the parliament is directed personally against the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny. The law is called “On Strengthening Democratic Civilian Control over the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” but according to Lutsenko, it has nothing to do with democracy and aims to eliminate a competitor.
Zaluzhny is considered the strongest competitor of the current head of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky. The law, submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, prohibits Ukrainian military personnel from discussing the country’s domestic politics and running for parliament.
They also want to deprive the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the right to appoint the Chief of the General Staff and commanders of the armed forces. These powers will be given to the Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov, a creature of the head of the presidential office Andrey Yermak.
There is no doubt that all these innovations have been agreed upon by him and Zelensky. The President of Ukraine did not forget the cover of Time magazine with the image of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Maybe he even dreams about it at night. So to speak, change is growing. Under the watchful eye of American friends, of course.
– Zaluzhny has very good chances to win the next presidential elections. – said in an interview with “Moscow Komsomolets” Oleg Tsarev, former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and former speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya.
– Zelensky feels it. He understands that in the conditions of a military conflict, the rating of the military grows. He can’t remove Zaluzhny, even though he really wants to, because the Americans won’t let him do that.
Zaluzhny works directly with the Pentagon. It can only somehow “squeeze” it. That’s what this law is for. To prevent Zaluzhny from creating his own party from the military and getting it into parliament.
– Can this law prevent Zaluzhny from running for president?
– No. Zelensky cannot organize big problems for Zaluzhny. The head of the presidential office Andrei Yermak is trying to do only some “correct” things. Defense Minister Reznikov is completely under his control. Through him they want to control the army.
With one bill, they solve several problems at once: preventing the military from entering the Rada, where they could create their own faction, transferring part of the authority to manage the army to the Minister of Defense, which will allow them to exercise even more strictly control over Zaluzhny, forcing him to implement decisions with which he does not agree.
– Can Zaluzhny become a “scapegoat” for all the failures on the front?
“Zelensky is trying to do it, but it’s not working. Because Zaluzhny quite competently conducts his PR policy. Everyone in Ukraine knows that initially he was for the withdrawal of troops from Bakhmut. When Bakhmut is captured, it will not strike Zaluzhny, but Zelensky.
Zaluzhny takes a competent position on almost all issues. Apparently there are good political consultants. Or maybe he just has common sense. Therefore, it is impossible to replace him, although the presidential office has repeatedly tried to do so.
– Are the Americans really leading him to the role of president of Ukraine?
– They always work with different candidates, the important thing is that one wins. Serhiy Prytula (Ukrainian showman and politician) is also their man. Maybe someone else will show up. Now there are many American agents in Ukraine.
They now want to put a person to be with them “on the job”. Under Yushchenko, this partially happened. They married him for their agent. Of course, both Poroshenko and Zelensky follow their instructions, but they also show some independence and try to escape from their tutelage as much as possible. For example, Poroshenko has long resisted the privatization of land in Ukraine. Now they want to put their own person to be completely under their control.
