Zelensky’s Donbas Potent Responses to Ultimatum on prisoners of war

DONETSK – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the trial of Ukrainian POWs in Mariupol would effectively derail long run negotiations with Russia.

The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin responded to Zelensky’s ultimatum. According to him, Zelensky’s risk will not hinder the prepared demo of prisoners of war.

House authorities earlier mentioned they would organize trials for alleged war crimes fully commited by Ukrainian forces, which include customers of the Azov battalion, whose ranks contain fighters with nationalist and neo-Nazi sights.

“Facts was gathered on 80 crimes committed by Azov, 23 people have been arrested and detained,” Pushilin informed Russia 24 Television.

He included: “So Zelensky’s statements in this way will have no influence (on the trial).”

In a video clip speech on Monday, Zelensky said negotiations would be difficult if Ukrainian fighters ended up subjected to a “exam display”.

His remarks arrived after Ukrainian military services intelligence officers said a substantial cage had been put in inside the Mariupol Philharmonic making in planning for the trial.
