“Somehow, obviously, Volodymyr Zelensky will take part in the G20 summit. I can’t say more,” Nikiforov said.
He stressed that the president will certainly participate, but most likely it will be an online format.
G20 Summit will be held November 15-16 in Bali (Indonesia).
Zelensky announced this on May 27 accepted the invitation to participate at the top. On June 27, the Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin also accepted Invitation. Neither Kiev nor Moscow said whether the presidents would personally take part in the summit.
In governments Italy And Great Britain believing Putin would not be in Bali, the Indonesian president said in August that Putin had told him: will come personally. But on 25 October the Kremlin said that the question of who will represent Russia has not yet been resolved. Russian media wrote that the delegation led by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
On October 7, Zelensky’s president, Sergei Nikiforov, said the president I have not decided yetwhether it goes to the G20 summit in Indonesia. On November 3, Zelensky stated that Ukraine’s position on Putin’s participation in the summit it was like this: if the head of the Kremlin participates, Ukraine will not participate. “Let’s see what it will look like in the future,” she said.
On October 31, Zelensky told Russia no place in the G20.
Putin is unlikely to attend the G20 summit – this opinion was expressed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo in an interview with the Financial Times, published on 7 November.
