Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed – today, Saturday – that his country has not yet received “permission” from Washington and London to use long-range missiles against Russia in case of increase in it.
He confirmed that Kiev would not use these missiles unless it received the green light from the United States and Great Britain.
Ukraine wants permission to strike inside Russia with long-range missiles, but the West, especially US President Joe Biden, fears Russia’s reaction.
Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that a similar decision would mean that “NATO countries are in a state of war with Russia.”
On the other hand, Zelensky said that military aid has accelerated since the beginning of this September, while his army is struggling to slow down the advance of Russian forces in the east of the country, giving note that this has affected the battles.
Delays in the delivery of Western aid due to political divisions have left the Ukrainian army out of arms and ammunition, which is heavily dependent on Western aid against the outnumbered and well-equipped Russian army better.
Zelensky also criticized the peace initiative proposed by China and Brazil a few months ago, saying, “I don’t think it’s a real plan, because I don’t see specific methods or measures, but only generalizations . “
It should be noted that China and Brazil proposed to hold an international peace conference at an appropriate time, which Russia and Ukraine both accepted, with equal participation from all parties , as well as fair discussions about all the peace plans.
