On April 1, Russia took over the leadership of the UN Security Council. In his nightly speech, Zelensky called it obviously absurd and destructive news, once again announcing that Russia is a terrorist state.
“Yesterday, the Russian army killed another Ukrainian child – a five-month-old boy, his name was Daniil… And Russia is being presented to the UN Council,” the Ukrainian leader regretted.
Zelensky also explains that it is difficult to imagine anything that would show the complete bankruptcy of such institutions.
“There is no form of terrorism that has not been committed by Russia. And there will be no reason to stop the reform of global institutions, especially the UN. Reform that was clearly overdue – so that a terrorist state and any other state willing to support terrorism could not destroy the world ,” said Zelensky.
“Terrorists must lose, be responsible for terror, not run anything at all,” he concludes.
Russia will assume the leadership of the UN Security Council for a month from Saturday, April 1,
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called on the members of the UN Security Council to prevent the Russian Federation from abusing its presidency in this institution.
Ukraine demands that Russia be expelled from the United Nations Security Council.
