President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a working visit to the United States on Thursday, September 2, spoke to experts at Stanford University in California. Details of speech made public press service of the head of state.
First of all, the Ukrainian leader noted that it is a great honor for him to speak to the faculty of Stanford University, and this event, in his words, proves that “anything is possible.”
The President told the audience about the achievements of Ukraine in the fight against bureaucracy and the spheres of mechanical engineering and road construction in the conditions of the war in the east of the country.
“Ukraine, which is opposing one of the most powerful armies in the world – the army of the Russian Federation. In which part of the territory is annexed and occupied, it is larger in area than some states of America. And in these conditions, Ukraine is building a democratic, free, open state,” Zelensky said.
He also mentioned the “state in a smartphone” project, thanks to which already 26 million Ukrainians can use many digital documents. “Ukraine has become the first state in the world to have a digital passport,” he recalled.
Finally, the head of state announced the country’s goals for the near future.
“It is very important for us: return Crimea, return Donbass. We will be a strong and successful country – the leader of Europe. Why am I sure of this? Because everything is possible,” Zelensky stressed.
We will remind, on the eve of the Ukrainian leader also met with the CEO of Apple Tim Cook. The parties discussed a number of issues, including further expansion of Apple’s presence in Ukraine.
