President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he could bring Russia to the negotiating table to fix the end of the war only if Russian troops voluntarily withdraw from the territory of Ukraine.
As reported by “European truth“, he said at a joint briefing with the leaders of Moldova, Slovenia, Slovakia and Croatia in response to a question from a Croatian journalist whether Ukraine considers it possible to negotiate with the leadership of the Russian Federation after everything that Russia has done.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy recalled that Ukraine had already proposed its “peace formula”, where it clearly outlined its vision of the actions needed to end the war.
“Of course, there will be a fixation of the end of the war. But only at this big table, where decent states will sit, (May be – Ed.) Representative of the Russian Federation – it’s hard for me to say who it will be at that time – who will first withdraw all troops from our territory without a fight. Then the diplomatic format begins. And if we use force to beat them all to the end, then there is nothing to talk about with such people in general. Because we will lose people. There will be many victims. What to talk about with these people in general? They must be isolated and not shaking hands. That’s all,” he said.
At a press conference, Zelensky also said that the decision of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to deploy Russian nuclear weapons means their loss of “any subjectivity”.
