President Vladimir Zelensky made a decision on the change of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the commander of the airborne assault forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commander of the Joint Forces operation. Accordingly, Sergey Korniychuk, Yevgeny Moysyuk and Vladimir Kravchenko were dismissed from their posts.

How informs the press service of the President’s Office, the relevant decrees of the head of state are posted on his official website.

So, Sergei Shaptala was appointed chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Pavlyuk – the commander of the Joint Forces operation.

Zelensky focuses the attention of commanders at all levels in the Armed Forces, leaders in the defense and security sectors on the need to ensure the modernization of the Ukrainian army and 100% training of military personnel to defend Ukraine in the face of modern warfare.

“Now the world is undergoing a rapid transformation of forces and means for waging war. Our military must be ready for the most effective performance of tasks in any conditions,” the president said.

The President stressed that effective interaction between commanders and leaders at all levels is the basis for the successful functioning of the defense and security sectors.

“After the rotations and replacement of commanders and leaders in both the army and the Ministry of Defense, I expect more systematic work and understanding by each soldier of our army of the prospects for the development of the Armed Forces as a whole,” Zelensky summed up.
