Zelensky invited Biden to organize talks with Putin

Vladimir Zelensky invited Joe Biden to organize trilateral talks with the participation of Vladimir Putin.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited US President Joe Biden to organize a trilateral video conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, informs TASS on Friday, January 14th.

“President Zelensky has proposed to President Biden – and we think it might make sense – to organize a trilateral meeting, maybe via videoconference, between President Biden, President Zelensky and President Putin. We are still waiting [ответа] from the Russian side,” Yermak said during a discussion in the Atlantic Council.

Recall that earlier The United States announced an escalation in relations with Russia. The world is facing a European security crisis, and “the rhetoric has become quite harsh,” the US said.

It was also reported that The United States did not expect breakthroughs from negotiations with Russia. Washington is ready to continue dialogue with Russia on security guarantees, but this will depend on the situation around Ukraine.
