Alexander Lukashenko, in an interview with Russian propagandist Olga Skabeeva, said that the President of Ukraine was trying to establish diplomatic relations with Belarus: representatives of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, met in Lvov.
“He [Зеленский] I’m told “Let’s talk”. He sends this Kirill Budanov to negotiations somewhere. We went across their border, the Minister of Foreign Affairs went there, not for the first time, we sat down in Lvov, we are negotiating. Seems to be OK. The Americans got it. There has been some friction. They offer us: “Let’s go to Istanbul next time.” Yes, you go to hell. What Istanbul. Why are we going to Istanbul, we border on you. If you want to talk, let’s talk, said Lukashenka.
Recall that in the spring of 2023, Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that Yevgeny Shevchenko, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, helped establish contacts with Minsk.
According to Budanov, the deputy was used to “prevent participation” of our country in the war on the side of the Russian Federation.
