Months after unsuccessfully calling for anti-missile systems, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his disappointment at the Israel who did not respond to his request.
Zelensky said he was “shocked” that Tel Aviv had not provided Kiev with anti-missile systems to help counter Russian attacks. He indicated that he was shocked that his country was not equipped with the Israeli Iron Dome system, which is often used to intercept Palestinian rockets.
“I do not know what happened.”
He also added, in an interview broadcast from his office last night, “I don’t know what happened to Israel. I’m frankly shocked because I don’t understand why they couldn’t give us air defenses,” according to Reuters.
Furthermore, he added, “I understand that they have a difficult situation regarding the situation in Syria, but I quote the facts. The Israeli leadership has done nothing to help Ukraine.”
Interestingly, Zelensky’s statements are stronger than those made in March when he criticized Israel for its reluctance to send weapons to his country, despite his promise to help.
except that Israel Condemning the Russian military operation on Ukrainian soil, she is concerned about strained relations with Moscow, which has influence in neighboring Syria, where Israeli forces frequently attack armed groups loyal to Iran.
