Ukraine is open for investments in the IT sector in cooperation with American business, the president stressed.
During a working visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with leading investors, representatives of venture capital funds and accelerators in Silicon Valley. The head of state called on them to actively cooperate with Ukraine. About it informs press service of the president.
“Our country is rapidly transforming and introducing innovations. Over the past year, we have managed to make a real breakthrough in the digital sphere. At the same time, we still have a lot to do,” Zelensky said.
In his opinion, Ukraine also has a high potential for developing its own products, but conditions for its implementation should be provided.
“For this, we are creating one of the best tax and legal regimes for IT-companies Diya City,” he stressed.
Zelensky assured that Ukraine will maximize assistance to foreign and Ukrainian investors. A special legal regime is aimed at creating companies in the country with a capitalization of more than $ 100 million, which will be residents of Ukraine.
Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov added that the Ukrainian Startup Fund has been operating in Ukraine for more than a year, and the state has already funded more than 100 projects.
According to Fedorov, Ukraine is developing a market for virtual assets, has one of the world’s largest communities of blockchain developers, and is modernizing the payment market, which will even allow the National Bank to issue digital currency.
Zelensky stressed that the state is ready to take into account the wishes of investors and meet them halfway.
