Zelensky discussed with the diaspora Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration and dual citizenship

The President also thanked for supporting the implementation of Ukraine’s strategic course on EU membership. He asked Diaspora Ukrainians to be actively involved in supporting the process of recognizing Ukraine’s European perspective by all EU member states.

Zelenskiy recalled the importance of the upcoming NATO summit in 2022 in Madrid, the importance of ensuring Ukraine’s participation in this event, as well as the Alliance’s decisions on the algorithm for deepening relations with Kiev.

The head of state highly appreciated the outstanding efforts of foreign Ukrainians to recognize the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people by the international community. The head of state noted the importance of the participation of foreign leaders in commemorative events to be held in 2022 and will be dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the tragic events.

The President exchanged views with the participants in an online conversation on the adoption of legislation on the introduction of the institution of multiple citizenship in Ukraine, which is of particular interest to foreign Ukrainians.
