President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, December 3, held a telephone conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. informs press service of the OP.
“Today marks the 30th anniversary of the day Hungary was the third to recognize the independence of Ukraine and became the first state with which we established diplomatic relations. We will always remember this manifestation of solidarity and support for Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
He emphasized that Ukraine is committed to developing good-neighborly relations with Hungary on the basis of mutual respect and constructive dialogue.
“We are ready to work together with you to realize the potential of our relations for the benefit of the peoples of Ukraine and Hungary,” Zelensky said.
It is noted that the interlocutors discussed further steps to develop bilateral cooperation and agreed to intensify efforts to achieve progress on all issues that are now on the agenda.
Zelensky thanked Orban for Hungary’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, noting, in particular, the participation of the Hungarian President in the inaugural summit of the Crimean Platform, and invited Orban to visit Ukraine.
