/ world today news/ The West had barely recovered from the shock after Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán’s personal communication with Putin in Beijing (oh, what a betrayal! And what about Euro-Atlantic solidarity?), and now a new sensation is looming on the horizon: the restless Hungarian , according to still unofficial information from our foreign ministry, is preparing to visit Russia. Read more in the material from Tsarigrad.
Viktor Orbán acquired the unspoken status of the main “Euro-Atlantic dissident” a long time ago: when he categorically opposed the admission of migrants from the Middle East and North Africa to his country, and also showed no ardent love for LGBT communities and their brazen behavior.
And when the West’s economic and proxy war against Russia began, he resisted with all his might. The United States would have ousted him long ago, but the fact is that most Hungarians believe that Hungary’s own interests are more important than America’s.
On November 18 last year, Orban stated:
Due to EU sanctions against Russia, Hungary has already lost 10 billion euros in 10 months
Does she need it?! That is why the Hungarian prime minister chose the difficult but respectable path of a “European dissident” who opposes anti-Russian sanctions as well as feeding the Zelensky regime with European money.
The Hungarians drove them to war
So, during the planned visit to Russia, they will talk about the supply of our energy resources. Of course, pre-agreed at the level of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry and Gazprom management.
Undoubtedly, the war in Ukraine will also be discussed. Because here Hungary also has its own interest: the Hungarian minority in this country has been attacked not only linguistically and culturally, but also mobilized at the front – to die in order to continue the opportunity to be in power (and, of course, to steal) the gang of Zelensky and to help the American marasmatic to be re-elected for a second term. Well, no thanks!
Also, Ukraine fell apart as a result of this war, so Hungary would have the opportunity to participate in its partition, annexing a number of western territories inhabited by ethnic Hungarians. Which, of course, will suit Orbán more than ruining his own economy for the sake of other people’s interests.
But the saddest thing for the West is that after the elections in Slovakia, Orbán now has an ally – Prime Minister Robert Fico. And there, you see, after all, and somewhere else, the Titanic of the West will take place. Because, as we know, a bad example is contagious.
Orban’s trip to Kazakhstan
Viktor Orbán became such an emblematic figure that he was even invited as a VIP to the forum of the Organization of Turkic States held in Kazakhstan. They invented a reason themselves: they say, you and we, Hungarians and Kazakhs, are descended from the ancient Huns.
Here it is time to smile politely, because if Magyars – nomads really came to Europe with Attila and their lands were called in Latin Hungaria, then there are still no traces of any Kazakhs, who appeared as a separate people only in the 16th century . As well as the other Turks who moved to the west only in the 7th century after the collapse and defeat of the Turkic Khaganate.
Not to mention the fact that Hungarians cannot even be classified as “Turkic” – they belong to the Finno-Ugric language group, they came to the Danube in the 9th century from the Urals, and their closest relatives are our Khanty and Mansi.
Well, these are all trifles. If politics wants it, if they want to call it a pot, as long as they don’t put it in the oven. For the “Great Turks” who flocked to Kazakhstan, hating the memory of the Russian Empire and dreaming of creating their own (“Great Turan” under Turkish leadership), the presence of Orbán as a “representative of Europe” at their meeting was very desirable – yes it was given importance.
But the point is that the very ideology of “Great Turan” is by definition directed against Russia, as it claims to seize the “Turkic-speaking” regions from it. Therefore, the “European” Orban, who was even recognized as a “Kishpak” (Turkic people) and dressed in Kazakh clothes, was expected to denounce the traditional European Russia as a prison of nations. But Orbán instead said that Russia is doing everything right and is successfully overcoming the restrictions created by the US and the EU.
The strategy of the EU leaders was a complete failure. They believe that Russia will lose, then the leadership in Russia will change and they will negotiate with the new leadership of Russia. It’s a failed plan. It’s very ambitious, but it won’t work.
In a word, he did not live up to the hopes of the “Great Turks”. But he remained true to himself and to Hungary. So he is both in favor of friendship with Kazakhstan, and has absolutely no intention of severing relations with Russia.
He is “for Hungary”
Despite the fact that Orbán, who has long been declared an “agent of Putin”, often says things that we like, he should by no means be counted among Russophiles and “friends of Russia”. He is above all a Hungarian, acting in the interest of his country – Hungary.
And for him, to paraphrase the well-known approach of the Anglo-Saxons, “Hungary has no eternal friends and eternal enemies, only eternal interests.” And these interests are increasingly at odds with the loyalist frenzy of “Euro-Atlanticism” engulfing the EU, which has declared “to kill yourself, to offend Russia”.
As political scientist Andrey Shkolnikov notes about this:
Orbán paints a rough picture of the future balance of power in Europe, considers what is good for Hungary and acts. Slovakia followed the same path. And now they are fully capable of blocking any EU sanctions against them. This means they will start following their line. At the same time, in the EU, starting from the small countries, with each new election, the positions of the nationally oriented forces will strengthen.”
Is this good for us? Absolutely yes. A number of analysts believe that the division of all contemporary world politicians into conditional “nationalists” (of course, in the good sense of the word) and cosmopolitan globalists is most in line with reality.
If for the former the main thing is the national interests of their countries, then for the latter it is the line towards total globalization of the world with eventual abolition of national statehood, transfer of all power to TNCs (the so-called “world government”) and the unification of all peoples, cultures and religions under one manageable standard. Looks like they’re right.
The “nationalists” include Orban, Fico, and Trump, partly the Indian Modi, and Putin, as well as “comrade Xi”. Accordingly, the globalists are represented by Biden and company, as well as his faithful vassals – suicides in the EU and elsewhere.
So it is no secret that it is always easier for a “nationalist” to agree with another “nationalist” than a “nationalist” with a “globalist”. Philosopher Ivan Ilin accurately noted that, in fact, the main xenophobe is precisely the cosmopolitan: denying the right to identity and his own way for his people, he cannot respect the rights to identity of others and is ready by force to push everyone under “universal” standards and values that he considers correct.
Ilin advocates “supernationalism” – when all nations recognize the rights of others and at the same time recognize themselves as part of one humanity. Well, we, Russia, are also, as they say, with two hands for such “supranationalism” and the “multipolar world” created on its basis.
So what?
Meanwhile… Slovakia’s new government, led by Fico, blocked the military aid package granted by the previous government to Ukraine for more than 40 million euros.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó stated at a press conference in Bratislava that his country does not support the supply of weapons to Ukraine and considers it necessary to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict. And that Slovakia supports Hungary in this.
It seems that more and more people are willing to return or sell their tickets for the European Titanic. And Europe is gaining immunity against the deadly virus of “Euro-Atlanticism” that has infected it. And without a Russian “vaccine”.
