President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on January 28 that the supply of ballistic missiles, in particular ATACMS, is vital for the country.
“Ukraine needs long-range missiles … We will do everything so that partners begin these vital deliveries, in particular ATACMS missiles and other similar weapons,” he said in an evening address published on the Telegram channel.
On January 25, Zelensky said that Kyiv expects to receive combat aircraft, artillery and long-range missiles from the West. He stressed that “we must also expand our cooperation in artillery, we must enter the supply of aircraft for Ukraine.”
January 28 Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak said that Kyiv began accelerated negotiations on the supply of aviation and long-range missiles. He stressed that Western partners understand the need to supply these weapons to Kyiv.
On January 19, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the discussion about the supply of weapons to Ukraine, which will allow strikes on Russian territory, does not bode well. He stressed that the supply of such weapons to Ukraine would mean bringing the conflict to a new qualitative level.
