A law on legalizing seized weapons was signed in Kyiv. The document signed by Vladimir Zelensky manages to circulate and legalize matters, as reported by RIA Novosti today, August 24.
The document has already been published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
Therefore, in Ukraine, changes are being made to the previous law “On ensuring the participation of civilians in the defense of Ukraine.” Editing for improvement “The Procedure for the Acquisition, Disclosure and Handling of Firearms” back with Zelensky’s signature.
If a citizen finds a firearm, its main parts or ammunition, he must contact the police immediately, and then within 24 hours contact law enforcement for further compliance or verification. And within 90 days after the lifting of martial law in Ukraine, firearms obtained by civilians and ammunition must be handed over to the police.
