“We are indeed making significant efforts to resume food supplies to the world market. And I am grateful to the United Nations and Turkey for their respective efforts. The success of this story is needed not only by our state, but, without exaggeration, by the whole world,” the head of state said. .

The Ukrainian leader announced a conversation with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to discuss the details.

“If we manage to remove the Russian threat to shipping in the Black Sea, this will alleviate the severity of the global food crisis. The Ukrainian delegation reported to me that there is progress. In the coming days, we will agree on the details with the UN Secretary General,” he specified.

As reported, representatives of Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and the UN held talks in Istanbul the day before, following which came to substantial agreement“on issues related to the export of Ukrainian grain through the ports of the Black Sea.

In particular, the main technical details were agreed, such as joint control at destinations and ensuring the safety of navigation on transshipment routes.
