Zelensky called for tougher sanctions against Russia in an address to the Italian Parliament

“The invasion has not stopped for almost a month, which means even more sanctions are needed, even more pressure, so that Russia is not looking for military reserves or mercenaries somewhere in Libya, but for Russia to look for peace. For a single person to look for peace,” Zelensky said. referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to him, those in Russia who give orders to fight and those who promote war use Italy as a holiday destination.

“So don’t be a killer resort. Freeze them all real estate, yachts, accounts, freeze the assets of everyone who has influence in Russia. Let them use it for the world to return to you someday. Support most of the sanctions against Russia, a complete embargo for trade, starting with oil, support a ban on Russian ships from entering their ports. There should not be a single exception from the sanctions regime for Russian banks,” Zelensky added.
