The Ukrainian president, Volodímir Zelenskiurged his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macronto intensify military aid to his country “before winter”, while denying that he is negotiating a ceasefire.
«I am very grateful to France and Macron for the support they give us. We have discussed the situation on the battlefield and we are grateful for your help before winter. We need your support »said the Ukrainian president in the Elysée, where he held a meeting with Macron after visiting London.
Zelensky denied that the negotiation of a ceasefire was one of the topics discussed on his European tour and accused Russian propaganda of having spread this information.
«We have not spoken with our allies about a ceasefire. I have seen in the media that this was going to be discussed, but it is not correct. I know Russia works a lot with the media, so it’s understandable.”he pointed out.
Zelensky noted that he shared with Macron his plans for the war and insisted that kyiv needs “more ammunition and permission to use some long-distance drones” which, he said, “are insufficient for now,” which is why he called for production to be intensified. .
“We are looking for some formulas, some money for these drones, for internal production and some permission from our partners”he insisted.
The Ukrainian president thanked the help provided by France in the training of soldiers, which he considered “important given the deficit of units.”
