During the conversation, Zelensky asked Erdogan to assist in the release of more than 100 Crimean Tatars who are being illegally detained in Russia.
Also, the Turkish President thanked for the participation of Ukrainian planes, helicopters and rescuers in eliminating the consequences of the fires in Turkey.
“Ukraine is always ready to help the friendly people of Turkey,” – the President of Ukraine.
Erdogan noted that from the first days of the initiation of the Crimean platform, Turkey has supported and will continue to support its work. He also said that Turkey will be represented by the Foreign Minister at the founding summit.
“I am convinced that the Crimean Platform will become an effective tool in the liberation of the illegally occupied Crimea,” the Turkish President said.
Erdogan also added that Turkey’s position on supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders and non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea remains unchanged and is actively promoted at all international platforms.
