Volodymyr Zelenskyy appoints the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service

The Foreign Intelligence Service was headed by Alexander Litvinenko. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state on Friday.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, July 23, appointed Alexander Litvinenko as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office.

Zelensky also signed a decree dismissing Litvinenko from the post of director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, where he worked before.

Also, by a separate decree, the head of state dismissed the previous head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Valery Kondratyuk.

Recall Zelensky appoints Valery Kondratyuk intelligence chief on June 5, 2020, dismissing the previous leader, Valery Evdokimov, who worked in this position since September 2019.
