Zelensky announced a bill on the special status of Polish citizens in Ukraine

Zelensky and Duda spoke in the Verkhovna Rada.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during today’s speech in the Verkhovna Rada announced the introduction of a bill on the special legal status of citizens in the parliament in the near future Poland in Ukraine.

People’s Deputy of Ukraine, representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the Constitutional Court Olga Sovgirya (Servant of the People faction) said this.

“The President of Ukraine announced that a draft law on the special legal status of Polish citizens in Ukraine will be submitted to parliament in the near future,” the people’s deputy noted.

Details as to what this status entails have not yet been released.

As UNIAN wrote, on Sunday, May 22, in Kyiv Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived on an unannounced visit.

He spoke in the Verkhovna Rada and became the first world leader to do so since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
