The mass power outages come after Russia’s assault on the country’s energy infrastructure.
According to Zelensky, the distortions and lies in official reports on emergency shelters are inexcusable.
In a video address on Friday, Zelensky announced that more than 4,000 facilities called “invincible centers” have been set up across the country, where people can get heat, water, first aid and an Internet connection.

But it turns out that only a handful of shelters in Kiev are adequately equipped as some 600,000 households are still without electricity in the Ukrainian capital.
“I expect quality work from the mayor’s office,” Zelensky said.
He stated: “No one will forgive a farce with an undefeated center in Kiev. I ask you to be more serious. The same goes for lies in relationships on multiple levels.
Although the president did not elaborate on his concerns, Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said on Friday (11/25/2022) that more than 400 heating stations had been installed in schools and other places.
Zelensky’s government has had a tense relationship with Klitschko, an ally of Ukraine’s previous president, Pyotr Poroshenko.
