President returned the law to parliament

The people’s deputies made changes to the document, as a result of which a loophole appeared, which unscrupulous declarants could use.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy returned to parliament with his proposals the bill No. 4651, which the people’s deputies adopted on June 3, 2021. About it informs press service of the president.

We are talking about the law On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the improvement of responsibility for declaring false information and the failure of the subject of declaring a declaration of a person authorized to perform the functions of the state or local government.

The bill was initiated by the President to reinstate the sentence of imprisonment for inaccurate declaration.

“However, when considering this document in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada, the deputies made changes to the procedure for declaring information about movable and immovable property in the possession or use of the declarant’s family members. relevant information, “the press service said.

That is, the declarant can be prosecuted only for inaccurate declaration of objects about which his family members provided information to him.

Unscrupulous declarants will be able to take advantage of such a “loophole” and not indicate in their declarations movable and immovable property owned or used by their relatives, explaining this by the fact that their family members allegedly did not provide them with the necessary information.

With this in mind, the President returned the law to the Rada.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed reconnaissance permit act.

It was also reported that the president signed two environmental laws – on the prohibition of plastic bags and the decree on the conservation and restoration of forests.
