After the release of the trailer for Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, speculation that the game takes place in Hyrule from Link to the Past. This is proven more and more.
Images being shared on social media show that Zelda’s adventure has several links to A Link to the Past on the Super Nintendo. Many landmarks can be seen matching the map, although they have been changed or are outdated. The cemetery and the church can still be found in the same place on the map. And where Kakariko Village once stood, there are now ruins.
